CERTIFICATIONS
The Sardinian Lamb was entered in the list of PGI products - Protected Geographical Indication - with Commission Regulation (EC) No 138/01 of 24 January 2001, while with Law-Decree of 28 October 2005 issued by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies, the PGI Consortium was formally recognised. The 'Agnello di Sardegna' (Sardinian Lamb) body has the aim of enhancing the product and monitoring that every stakeholder in the production chain is adopting the product specifications. The products are marked with the Indicazione Geografica Tipica (Typical Geographic Indication) European brand and the Agnello di Sardegna I.G.P (PGI Sardinian Lamb) brand.
